Video-monitoring systems for ATMs have evolutionized from simple digital video-registers which carried out entire recording without any connection to transactional events. To track the fact of vandalism with those systems were possible but for solving controversial situations there should have been connection with programming system of ATM station. And systems of next generation could receive ATM’s events easily, and de-facto standards started to include pre-event recording, movement detector, revolving recording, titles on the screen shot with bank card number and other advanced benefits. Although still not all video-monitoring systems had user-friendly interface, clear to any operator of claim work department. Analysis of situation in dispute should be set in a smooth flow and not be dependent on only one qualified specialist, responsible for the security system.
Operational service of ATM stations is connected to army of risks most of criminal character. It can be not only, for example, illegal operations on accounts, but also vandalism, inbreak attempts, unauthorized removal attempts, robbery, theft, etc. Fraudful operations play noteless part. Video-monitoring system allows to record events from external sensors (hit sensor, movement sensor, etc.) and carry out search video extracts on such bank events. For example, it’s easy to find photos of all persons withdrawing money on a specified card number. The effectiveness of video-archive rises as only important actions are recorded and registered.
The system is easily installed on base unit of ATM and it doesn’t interrupt the work of main ATM software.
