New complex line of software products for acquiring network

Development of software for POS-terminals has always been a priority for INPAS Company. Specialists have worked out a radically new line of software products, under the general brand name – UNIPOS, a set of solutions to support acquiring of bank cards on POS-terminals. The group of products named UNIPOS includes terminal software, parameterization tools, remote loading and terminal control, cryptographic keys management system, and also completely new system of software quality management.

The name UNIPOS was given with a purpose, it reflects one of main strategic tasks, that is creating a complete, easily applied modular and flexible architecture for quick adaptation of software solutions to other platforms and introduction to international markets.

There are 5 main components: UNIPOS Terminal, UNIPOS Config Manager, UNIPOS Key Manager, UNIPOS Quality Manager, UNIPOS License Manager.

UNIPOS Terminal

A new complex solution for POS-terminals with certified EMV-core. UNIPOS provides high speed and high quality transactions to service bank cards of local and international payment systems. Architecture of this product is easily adaptable to any platforms and therefore platform independent. Very flexible modular architecture allows using effectively resources of local teams to integrate new host-protocols and increasing functionality of local projects by demand. Due to modularity and fully automated quality control testing which is carried out in full with every software release the cost on updates reduces and reliability increases. A new approach to user friendly, simple and clear interface helps to study and master this product in a short time.

UNIPOS Config Manager

It is a System of parameterization, upload, monitoring and device management in acquiring system. The major advantage of the new product in relation to existing systems is in independent version of parameterization from the specific parameters’ structure of the terminal product, which provides maximum flexibility in customizing in clients’ settings. Use of standard exchange protocols combined with intelligent upload algorithm allows accelerating of application update. At the same time typical confidentiality mechanisms of transmitted data (SSL/TLS) keep the cost of IT infrastructure unchanged.

UNIPOS License Manager

A supplementary product designed to support licensing policy of INPAS Company. The licensing system offers a wide range of options for configuring a set of services for a specific client based on specific needs, and eliminating unwanted functionality, thereby reducing the cost of software solution for a customer. This tool allows creating the following types of license certificates:

·        Flexible – certificate-file generated by serial device number;

·        Dongle Key – certificate-module, SAM-module without connection to serial device number.

Language support is made in such a way that regional developer teams can introduce local updates without changing the main software components, and can switch languages even during the work process.

UNIPOS Key Manager

A cryptographic key management system, which provides a full compatibility with existing INPAS software products used by clients (SpecialKit and KeyLoader). UNIPOS Key Manager also provides a new functionality for uploading keys directly to peripheral devices through manual input with the essential removal of upload keys application.

This product provides an alternative way to use SAM-modules, use certified script part of a terminal for loading, storage and conversion of keys. Such approach allows managing more effectively the protected area of the terminal scripting and significantly increases the ability to manage the keys and increases the number of stored keys.

UNIPOS Quality Manager

The software quality management system is a fundamentally new step in development of new software products and one more software pearl in INPAS Company’s portfolio. It’s designed primarily to reduce the costs on support of the new product line, by ensuring product quality control at all stages of its life cycle. Today UNIPOS Quality Manager enables the functional and modular testing of software either manually or automatically. Uniqueness of the system is that it allows preparing test scripts for suppliers’ protocol parts of host solutions for declared scenario certification for this host.

Thus, when the software is updated the entire volume of quality tests including tests used for EMV Terminal Level 2 certification can be run without operator’s aid, i.e. automatically.
