INPAS International works up markets in Hungary and Czech Republic

15th of April in Budapest INPAS International held a seminar and presented a new product line of POS-terminals by VeriFone. Seminar partners were VeriFone and Gemalto.
The seminar was attended by representatives of Hungarian banks and banks from neighborhood countries. Representative from MasterCard reported about using MasterCard PayPass technology in report was very successful among audience. Interest to this report is connected to the fact that the pilot project of contactless payments of OTP Bank, MasterCard and INPAS International continued this year.
The pilot project was completed; according to it 350 VeriFone pin pads were installed. Pin pads were with contactless technology and provided with INPAS applications. After finishing pilot project OTP Bank has decided to launch this solution into industrial operating in
Moreover, during partner’s day event two Hungarian banks wanted to run these contactless pilot projects. It is noteworthy, during 2009 financial year Hungarian market was provided with more than a million of plastic cards by Gemalto. In 2010 good prospects open up for Gemalto to expand its business in this region.
Logical extension of INPAS, VeriFone and Gemalto cooperation was the decision to make Hungarian market as main beta-tester for all new equipment which is produced by VeriFone.
Following a successful three-year collaboration in Hungary this spring year VeriFone and INPAS International signed an agreement on the distribution of POS-terminal equipment to Czech Republic.
